The answers (the newsletter has better formatting!) Mission 1: Which is correct? I hope we can get passed all this~ I hope we can get past all this~ “to get past” is a phrasal verb! It means “to overcome” Mission 2: Say it perfectly (focus on sentence intonation): Gator attacks puzzle experts. The key was: PUZZLE was the verb! Listen to the podcast to hear HOW! Mission 3: Make the sentence grammatically perfect AND say them with the right intonation: ARE You buying a yacht? (basic question) ARE You’RE buying a yacht? (shocked!) You’RE buying a yacht? (confirmation) Listen to the podcast to hear HOW to say them! Mission 4: Use the following pattern correctly: That’s some NOUN That’s some lesson! That’s some dinner! That’s some woman~ That’s some game~ Listen to the podcast to get the full meaning.
Mission 5: Answer the question: Tell me something you’ve laughed off? When she asked for a refund the THIRD time—I laughed it off. I knew she must have been crazy! Don’t let their words bother you—just laugh it off. My bald spot? Ha! I just laugh it off! My wife is hot! Listen to the podcast to fully understand.
